Mr. Deupree has recently formed his latest oil and gas company, Bordertown Energy Resources, LLC, focusing on acquiring and developing mature natural gas properties in south Texas. Bill previously was the founding or co-founding partner of three oil and gas companies focused on production and drilling activities in south Texas. He has nearly 40 years of experience in all aspects of petroleum engineering, including reservoir engineering, production operations and property evaluations, as well as substantial financial and contract expertise. Mr. Deupree has provided strategic leadership and direction in all his endeavors and has been responsible for each Company's business plan development and execution. Bill has a proven track record of leading E&P organizations through the identification, capture, exploration and development of oil and gas resources, and has the proven ability to grow production.Bill most recently founded Escondido Resources II, LLC and served as its President & CEO from 2007-2021. Escondido II drilled over 150 horizontal wells in the Eagle Ford and Escondido formations in Webb and LaSalle counties and grew production up to a level of 250 mmcf/d in 2021. Escondido II was the successor to Escondido Resources, LP, which he founded and served as President & CEO from 2004-2007. Escondido I acquired a small producer at inception and subsequently drilled over 160 wells in the Olmos and Escondido formations in Webb and LaSalle counties before selling to a large independent for a 3.0:1 return on equity. Prior to forming the Escondido franchises, Bill was a co-founding partner of Legend Natural Gas, LP where he served as the Vice President of Business Development from 2001 to 2004. Legend was active in acquiring and developing properties in Webb and Zapata counties and sold for a return on equity of over 3.0:1 to a large independent. From 1994 to 2001, Bill was Vice President of Business Development for North Central Oil Corp., which was also principally active acquiring and developing properties in Webb and Zapata counties, and was part of the senior management team that subsequently formed Legend Natural Gas. Bill began his career as an engineer with Mitchell Energy Corporation and also worked as a management consultant for the premier accounting firm, Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC).Bill received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1983 from Texas A&M University, earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Houston in 1989, and a Master of Legal Studies from Texas A&M School of Law in 2022. His companies have been recognized multiple times in both the Aggie 100 and the Cougar 100 entrepreneurship programs. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and numerous other energy organizations. Mr. Deupree has also been recognized as a member of the Petroleum Engineering Academy of Distinguished Graduates at Texas A&M University and proudly serves on the industry board providing guidance to the A&M Petroleum Engineering department.
